DW 5600 MS, Classically Tough

From the list of all G Shock line, one of the original is the 56 series. The one which will be reviewed is the classically Tough one, DW 5600 MS-1.

Design

From the shape, we can see that it is the basic G Shock. It is the successor of its ancestor, DW  5500. The shape is simple, with square interface and nice to look at.

"No much" can you expect from this Basic Model G Shock. Not Much here doesn't mean you get less. Nothing so-called less in G Shock. You still get Electro-Luminescent, Alarm Feature, Daylight Saving Time, World Time,  and other standart G Shock feature.

Toughness

DW 5600 MS-1 All Round.

Is it tough? If that is your question, then the answer is YES. A big YES. As a part of G Shock family, DW 5600 MS offers you with its own bargain value. Its simple shape is rigid enough. Many test has been done to torture this watch, but none of them able to beat its toughness.

Value

For a price of less than 100 USD, this is a great value, a must have item if you are collecting watch. What is missing from this one is the technology from the new generation of G Shock, that is Auto EL and Solar Cell battery. But it is not a set-back for this tough little watch. If you look for a watch which can be used every day in any occasion, this is the best deal.

Alternative for 5600 Series

Alternative for 5600 Series.

If you like DW 5600 but want more feature, you can still have other 5600 Series. In this case for example, you can have G 5600, which already have Tough Solar Feature and Auto Light. You can also have GLX 5600 which having additional feature for Moon Phase and Sea Tide.

Which one would you prefer, its all yours, all of the lines of 5600 series are all beauty to be hold and tough to be used.
